Colorfulness and diversity also form the core of the work “Famous Tracks” in Café del Mundo’s fifth studio album. This album was consistently produced in THE “Love & Peace Studio”, Abbey Road Studios, London, in the spirit of the 68s.
In spring 2019, Germany's hottest guitarists Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian, known as Café del Mundo, played their first UK club tour and immediately won their way into the hearts of the British. The concerts took the two to Sheffield, the birthplace of many famous POP and rock stars, to Leeds and to the music strongholds of Bristol and Cambridge - highlight: an invitation to the legendary Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, London.
Filled with dazzling impressions, Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian sat down in front of the microphones at Abbey Road Studios on the eighth day of their tour, that magical place that harbors the aura of great artists in every brick, Yehudi Menuhin even before the Beatles. The result is a direct snapshot of famous greats such as Manuel DeFalla, Chick Corea, Enrique Granadas, Al Di Meola and Paco de Lucia - a recording with the immediacy of a live concert in the world-class sound of what is technically possible today (high resolution, 96khz). .
Café del Mundo naturally juxtapose their declaration of love for these musical monuments with their own sounds and compositions. Two virtuoso individualists on their greatest journey yet.
